On Friday 23 rd December 2022, the Okana Community celebrated the graduation of Caroline Akinyi
Onyango.
Caroline graduated with a degree in Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery from Kabarak
University, Kenya. She is one of the pioneering graduates in Medicine in the community. Caroline is one
of the students who has been supported through the SRI scholarship program from Secondary School
through to university.
SRI was represented at the event by its Executive Director, Dr. James Otieno Jowi.
He congratulated Caroline for the great achievement and thanked PowerEd Canada that collaborated
with SRI in supporting Caroline’s scholarship.
